To switch quickly between Builder and Coder views, you can type Ctrl-L / Cmd-L. However, you cannot go from code back to a Builder representation editing in coder is a one-way street, so, in general, we advise compiling to code is good for understanding what exists but, where possible, make code tweaks in builder itself using code components. You can then edit that code and run it as a python program. It is always possible to go from the Builder to python code in this way. If you then save and run this code, it would look the same as running it directly from the Builder. The view will automatically switch to the Coder, and display the python code. Instead of running the program, explicitly convert it into python: Type F5, or click the Compile icon: In the Builder, load or recreate your “hello world” program. To get a better feel for what was happening “behind the scenes” in the Builder program above: Whenever you run a Builder experiment, PsychoPy ® will first translate it into python code, and then execute that code. You can quit PsychoPy ® from the File menu, or typing Ctrl-Q / Cmd-Q. When running an experiment, you can quit by pressing the escape key (this can be configured or disabled). If you have poked around a bit in the Builder already, be sure to start with a clean slate. The wiki article accompanied with the task has very little information, as so does the task on PEBL.Start PsychoPy ®, and be sure to be in the Builder view. Maybe killall PsychoPy2 would have been more effective, but this is a pretty unfortunate way to kill an errant PsychoPy process - especially when you can't see if you have opened a terminal window and if you are typing. How is this possible? Does this mean that column "type" is for something else and the test doesn't record whether or not the trials were congruent or incongruent? I tried to use the Finder (Command+Space) to open a terminal window and type killall psychopy but this was not effective. Trials that were congruent were both type 1 and 2. If you want to write code then you probably want to use psychopy as a library. When I matched what I wrote with the "type" column they didn't correspond. The 'builder' is a gui interface to the psychopy library. The column labeled "type" was the logical assumption as it had only two options, 1 and 2 (congruent or in congruent, or so I thought). I worked things around and manually wrote down what each trial was and cross-referenced it with the excel sheet however, even then nothing made sense. Unfortunately, this was not clearly shown on the excel files. I needed to know which trials were congruent and incongruent. Although the test it self was good, the data output was not clear to read. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for the Simon Task. The data output was clear and easy to read. app.PsychoPy 2006,file sharing'without virus 2018,stable stable. Easy to use, and explaint to participants how to do it. An open-source stimulus presentation and control package for creating psychology stimuli in Python (a real and free alternative to Matlab). As far as the Corsi test goes, PEBL was great. I used PEBL for the Corsi block-tapping test and the Simon Task.
